Global Grace
The Global Grace ministries of Grace Fellowship are modeled after Christ’s own words as recorded in Matthew 28:18 – 20, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world”. It is this great commission of Christ that continually motivates us to be strategically involved – not only in home missions but also in ongoing, supportive global missions as well. Our approach is to partner with home & international ministries and missionaries that are:
- 1)
Strategic in purpose,
- 2) Sound in doctrine,
- 3) Submitted to higher authorities,
- 4) Seasoned in experience,
- 5) Spirit-anointed in actions, and,
- 6) Successful in measurable results.
Further, all of our home & international strategic partners must be actively involved in at least one of three key Great Commission focuses: A) Evangelism of those without Christ, B) Discipleship/Mentoring of the followers of Christ, and/or, C) Church planting to help expand the Kingdom of Christ.
HOME MISSIONS:
Grace Fellowship is partnered with several regional and local ministries to help reach those who are less fortunate and in need of a hand up and not a hand out.
- Hands of Hope Ministries, McDowell County, West Virginia – McDowell County is one of the top ten poorest counties in America and has been hit hard by an ever-shrinking coal mining industry. We have come alongside www.hohm.org to help provide food, shelter, clothing and hope especially to children and women in desperate living conditions.
- Kairos Ministries – www.kairosprisonministry.org This is an outreach support to the state women’s correctional institute located in Alto, Georgia. Our church coordinator for Kairos Ministries is Kathy Tasker. Kathy along with her husband, Alan, are active members of Grace Fellowship.
- FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) – We are privileged to partner with FCA through their local regional director, Jack Murray (jmurray@fca.org). Jack and his family are active members of Grace Fellowship. Jack’s region covers FCA chapters on 45 school campuses in 10 surrounding counties of Northeast Georgia.
- Kids First Ministries – Kids First www.kidsfirstfamily.com was founded in 2006 by Larry and Anna Boling. Larry, Anna and their family are active members of Grace Fellowship. This unique ministry focuses on outreach to the children who live in the public housing projects located in nearby Clarke County.
SHORT TERM MISSIONS TEAM TRIPS:
Henry Martyn who was a great missionary pioneer to India and Persia once said, “The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we become”. With this in mind, each year Grace Fellowship offers several short term mission team trip experiences both at home and internationally. Many people from within and outside of Grace Fellowship have made these adventures of a lifetime in past years. They are truly life-changing experiences.
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS:
Grace Fellowship is deeply involved in many international strategic partnerships that share our own spiritual DNA and conform to our stated missions goals and objectives. We have strategic partnerships in Nicaragua and in Ecuador where we are helping to take the Gospel of Christ to the Shuar indian people located in the jungles along the Amazon River Basin. Outside of these partnerships, our primary focus fields are located within a region of the world known as the 10/40 Window. This is an area of the world that contains the largest population of non-Christians on the planet. The area extends from 10 degrees to 40 degrees North of the equator and stretches from North Africa across to China. Within this region lives two-thirds of the world’s population as well as 95% of all non-Christian peoples.
